I found this face mask on My Yellow Sandbox’s blog a few months back and the reviews on it are amazing! This particular DIY facial mask gives you great results in only a few weeks(or days) depending how many acne scars you have, trying this out myself seemed like a huge barrier to tackle but wash’t as bad as I thought it would be. Please let me know if you have tried this mask and the results you had!
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon of honey
- 2 teaspoon lemon juice(can vary, feel the burn)
Mix all ingredients into a thick paste. Apply all over face for around a hour, if it burns too much…THEN SUCK IT UP! Kidding of course, you can wear this mask for as long as you want just remember the more lemon juice you squeeze into the mix the more it will burn.
*For more sensitive skin leave out the lemon juice, it will hurt and peel more skin than necessary.
If you are a huge beauty fanatic as I am then you may have heard a few rumors and have been wandering Sephora’s website looking for evidence but it’s true, a third Naked palette has been created!
The Naked palettes have been top sellers from the ever so popular Urban Decay and have even inspired an entire Naked line for the brand which include a basic palette, a blush, highlighter bronzer set, lipstick/liner, etc. But compared to the brand’s previous Naked palettes, the third has more of a rosy to taupe pretty neutral feel to it and even though there is a black shade it seems not to overpower the other soft colors. So yes, you would still be able to create the infamous smokey eye look if necessary, the excitement is overwhelming..I know. You can now purchase the palette on these sites Urban Decay, Sephora and Ulta, it’s a Christmas miracle!!!!!!!!
YouTube beauty guru Annie Jaffery creates an awesome look for any time and any season with this gold neutral makeup tutorial. Check out her blog here!

The other day I was looking through a Pinterest board and came across two monthly DIY boxes that were interesting enough to look into and think are blog worthy!
The WhimseyBox is a monthly subscription box that sends supplies, instructions and tips to complete a craft project from your own home as well as a reusable storage box and art print in each box.
Price per month-$15 , you can receive $5 off your first month here
2. Project DIY
Project DIY provides supplies and instructions just like Whimsey but they supply enough materials for 2-3 projects which could explain the difference in price. The one thing I can say I don’t really like with this box is that sometimes you can receive already made supplies so you miss out on the fun of actually piecing together the puzzle of the project.
Price per month $30, receive a free starter kit($20) with the code MJDIY5
Regardless of my reviews please check out both subscription boxes and let me know how you like them. If you are already subscribed let me know how many projects have you completed and what are your thoughts on your box!?

Since I am writing an article on a new line by Christian Louboutin I wanted to check on something I read a couple of years back and found that I still have the same reaction to the news this day. As everybody knows, Loubs are known for their lacquered red soles, yet in 2011 a lawsuit was filed by the man himself to sue the equally popular fashion and beauty brand, YSL, who used or in other words “violated” the companies trademark on a few shoes in their newest collection. And in the end of it all…….he lost.
As of today, the Louboutin brand is world renowned and loved by many. Yet another iconic and unique idea has been thrown into the world for all to witness; a new line of nude heels. A lot of the time the word nude is depicted as being a pale beige in the fashion industry but Louboutin has broke yet another barrier and created shades that cater to almost every skin tone varying from fair to dark. The collection is now available in stores and online, you can also find your perfect nude by downloading the Louboutin Shades app!
